Trail, BC, Canada
Installation of two pre-cast STARcrete™ structural, pump support beams in the acid sump pit area. Previously fiberglass and metal I-beams had been used with little success. 

Morenci, AZ, USA
Approx. 535 cu.m. of STARcrete™ for flooring, drainage canals and sump in expansion of SX/EW copper refinery cell house. Contractor: Brown & Root; Engineers: Fluor Daniel. 

Trail, BC, Canada
Construction of new ammonium sulfate plant, including pump bases and flooring. Approx. 70 cu.m. poured. 

Sasolburg, South Africa 
Installation of sumps and off-loading pavement in an acid plant where exposure is to 65% sulfuric, hydrochloric and other traces of ammonia and nitric acid. 50 cu.m. poured. 

Springs, South Africa 
255 cu.m. poured in a zinc cell plant to produce sumps, floors, drains and repair of portals where exposure is to 15-30% sulfuric acid at 30-40oC. 

Germiston, South Africa 
Installation of a precast tank in three sections with post tensioning. Exposed to nitric and hydrochloric acid (68%) at 70oC. 22 cu.m. poured. 

Phalaborwa, South Africa 
Construction of new floors, drains, walls and plinths exposed to both 30-35% sulfuric acid as well as 95-98% sulfuric acid. 360 cu.m. poured. 

Marathon, ON, Canada 
Installation of 25 cu.m. of reinforced STARcrete™ for use as a nitric acid containment basin, comprising walls, floor, foundations and tank pedestals. 

Trail, BC, Canada 
Installation of 14 precast STARcrete™ structural beams for spent acid tank, replacing fiberglass beams that had failed. 

Nelspruit, South Africa 
Installation of floors, drains, plinths and walls subjected to sulfuric (22%), hydrochloric (36%), and nitric (50%) acids. Poured 48 cu.m. 
  
East Driefontein, South Africa 
Construction of floors, off-loading bay, plinths, columns and sump exposed to sulfuric (30%) and hydrochloric (30-75%) acids. Poured 50 cu.m.

Installed floors, walls and drains (pre-cast) in a zinc cell plant exposed to sulfuric and hydrochloric acids. Approx. 190 cu.m. poured. 
  
Beulah, ND, USA 
Construction of floor slabs, sumps, trenches, curbs, pony walls, machine bases and tank bases for an ammonium sulfate plant. Poured approximately 344 cu.m. 
  
Hamilton, ON, Canada 
Construction of floor slabs, curbs, pony walls, machine bases and tank bases for a Dofasco plant, replacing a conventional concrete floor with acid brick covering that failed. 1998 Two more similar jobs planned for early 2000.
